For interior designers

Furniture plans fail on the half inch. So do millwork, window treatments, and anything built to fit an opening. This gives you the actual dimensions instead of the ones on the listing.

When you call

You are specifying into a space you have visited twice, from photos on your phone and a plan the architect drew for a different purpose. The sofa is ordered against a wall length nobody has confirmed.

Or the client is remote, the space is empty, and every question about a niche, a soffit, or a radiator position means another trip across town.

What a wrong dimension costs

A custom sofa that does not clear the stair turn is not a measuring error you absorb. It is a reorder, a lead time, and a conversation with the client.

The same is true of a rug cut to a room that is not square, a vanity specified to a wall that bows, and a shade ordered to an opening measured from a photo.

One scan gives you every one of those dimensions, plus the ceiling heights, plus a walkthrough you can measure inside of at eleven at night when the question comes up.

Furniture and space planning

Plan against real wall lengths, real door swings, and real circulation, not a marketing floor plan.

Millwork and built ins

Give the shop measured elevations and a point cloud instead of sending someone to field verify.

Ceiling heights, soffits, drops, and existing fixture positions, so the lighting plan survives contact with the site.

Window treatments

Opening dimensions taken from measurement rather than from a photograph.

Check a dimension from the walkthrough months later without asking anyone for access.

What this is not

Worth knowing before you order rather than after.

  • Soft goods, textures, and exact finishes are recorded photographically, not measured. Color matching still needs a sample.
  • Furniture and contents block what is behind them. An empty room gives a far better record than a staged one.
  • Mirrors and large glass need a note during the visit so they can be handled in processing.
